This small mine developed a series of minor veins associated with the Daren-Cwmsymlog fault system
The first recorded working was in 1853 and on various occasions untill 1878. The veins were developed by at least four shafts and a number of trial adits.
The mine is very unsual for mid-Wales, as it is one of the few to have produced any AsO4 species.
