Ancient adits and trials, working diabase-hosted calcite and dolomite veins for mercury. Mercury minerals are scarce in this area, though. Possibly, a deep red jasper which occurs in the surrounding rocks was mistaken for cinnabar.
Located on the south side of the Lobniggraben.
