A U-V mine.
Mineralization is tyuyamunite, montroseite and carnotite in lenticular ore pods in the Shinarump member of the Chinle formation in the Monument No. 2 paleo-channel. Deposits occur in the bottom of a paleostream channel, usually with carbonaceous debris. A replacement deposit.
A uranium mine located on the eastern periphery of the Monument No. 2 channel. Leased in 1953 to W.E. Pollock & B.N. Byler.
