A former surface and underground Mn-W group of 2 unpatented claims/prospect located a short distance East of Castle Creek and 27 miles NE of Morristown. Started in 1940 and owned by W.L. Palmer. The deposit is also in sec. 28 and 33.

Andesitic flows, breccia and tuff of prevailing Northward dip, overlain on the ridges by thin soil. The principal vein occurs within a fault fissure that strikes irregularly Eastward and is traceable by float for a few hundred feet on the surface. It is intersected on the West by Northward-trending fissures containing gray limestone. The vein consists mainly of black manganese oxide together with a little calcite & quartz. It is 1½ to 2 feet wide where exposed. Tungsten content is confirmed but its form is unknown. Local scistosity strikes N60E, and dips 40NW. Pegmatite dikes strike N35E and dip 76NW.

Workings include a shallow cut.
