A former underground Au-Ag-Cu-Mo mine located in the SE¼ sec. 3, T.8N., R.3W. (Morgan Butte 7.5 minute topo map), 1 mile NE of Cherry. Produced 1935-1942.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with a tabular ore body. The vein strikes N.45ºE. and dips 55ºW. Ore control was faulting and shearing. Ore concentration was oxidation at near surface. An associated rock unit is the Cherry Quartz Diorite (informal name).
Area structures include dike(s) trending N40E.
Workings include a 200 foot deep inclined shaft. Production was some 30 cars of Au ore averaging $25 per ton (period values).
