Sawda is a small hamlet located about 4 km south of the small town of Paldi which is in turn about 10 kilometers to the west of Jalgaon. The quarries near this hamlet are where most of the specimens that are labeled Jalgaon come from. You can see the quarry workings clearly on the satellite view and the "lakes" that they have created and the adjacent pits that have not yet widened and deepened into "lakes".
