Exposures of cassiterite-rich quartz brecciae hosted by silicified micaschists. A number of nearby ditches are related to gallo-roman tin mining activities in this area. Geologically, the mineralization is similar to those near Echassières in the Allier departement, a few km further northeast. Located close to the border between the Puy-de-Dôme and Allier departments, NE of Montignat and about 1.5 km SW of the La Bosse crossing.
