Exposures of cassiterite-rich quartz brecciae hosted by silicified micaschists. A number of nearby ditches are related to gallo-roman tin mining activities in this area. A similar mineralization is found at Les Bois Menus, about 1 km further northwest in the Puy-de-Dôme departement. Located in the woods to the west of the upper Gourdonne valley, about 1.2 km SSW of the La Bosse crossing.
