A Cu-Pb-Zn-Ag mining area located in T3-5S, R19-21E, about 4 miles NW of the Black Rock Wilderness Study Area (WSA) on the western slope of the Turnbull Mountains, the extreme northern Santa Teresa Mountains, and the Stanley Butte area. A portion of this district is on the San Carlos Indian Reservation. This is on the west side of the Tertiary Santa Teresa granite batholith, R21E, T5S.
Deposits are vein and replacement deposits in Carboniferous age sediments (Tornado Limestone); also in Cretaceous andesites and tertiary volcanics.
