A former underground Ag-Au mine located in the N½ sec. 18, T21S, R10E, on land of unknown status. Owned by the Consolidated Arizona Gold and Silver Mining Co. Mr. John McCafferty had unknown involvement here (1970).
Mineralization is a 3 to 5 foot (1 to 1.5 meters) wide vein of chloride ore.
Workings include a main shaft at 200 feet deep (1881), plus levels and drifts. Equipment included a 10-stamp mill and steam hoists.
