A Diatomite occurrence/prospect located in sec. 17, T18S, R21E, outside a recognized district, near Curtis and 3 or 4 miles west of the San Pedro River, on land of unknown status.
Mineralization is a lacustrine diatomite deposit with clay. The deposit consists of a 4 to 8 foot (2.4 meters) thick diatomite bed of "excellent quality" overlain by one foot of volcanic ash and underlain by clay. The diatomite forms a horizontal bed.
