A uranium deposit/occurrence located on 16 claims in sec. 12, T6N, R12E, about ¾ mile SW of Greenback Peak, about 15 miles NNE of the Roosevelt, on National Forest land. Owned by E.C. Conway & others, Tonto Basin, AZ.
Mineralization is 0.46 meters thick. Host rock is weathered & bleached flaggy siltstone about 65 feet above the base of the upper member. Strata strike about N65W & dip 5SW. Strong vertical joints that strike N60-65E seemingly have no relationship to the radioactivity. Radioactivity: 0.5 to 5.0 mr/hr. An associated rock unit is diabase.
Workings include an open cut, small pit and a bulldozed area. No production record.
