Structure: Numerous Faults A Normal Fault With 12-Foot Slip
Alteration: Leaching And Oxidation Of Iron And Lead Ores
Tectonics: San Pedro-Ortiz Porphyry Belt
Deposit: Discovery year: 1880's the ore is found in a fissure vein that has a surface exposure of about one mile. The vein is pockety. The vein follows a normal fault that slipped about twelve feet on the hanging wall. The vein averages 18 inches wide. The iron ore is oxidized and heavily leached. And desulphurized. The galena has been half altered to cerussite. The gold and silver has been found in pockets and ore shoots.
