London Lead Co. opencut and shafts in the Great Limestone on the NE slope of Little Dun Fell. Mineral deposits consisted of small flats off the main vein.
A level, for which the grid ref is given, was driven ESE from Crowdundle Beck underneath the Great Limestone and intersected the vein 800ft from its portal.
