Honey Bee No. 4 claim, Honey Bee claims (ABC group; Wooley group; Lower Wooley group; Watts 1-3 claims; Justem 1-8 claims; Hobby 1-12 claims), Kelvin area, Tortilla Mts, Pinal Co., Arizona, USA

A U-Cu claim located in sec. 16, T4S, R13E, about 4 miles E of Grayback Mountain and about 5 miles SW of Kelvin, on federal land. Owned by Leo Wall of Ray & I.D. Hollenbeck of Kelvin(1951).

Originally a copper claim. Radioactivity is associated with a shattered, fine-grained mafic dike about 4 feet (1.2 meters) wide and a nearby porphyry dike, each cutting the granite country rock. The porphyry dike is radioactive for about 200 feet. The U is associated with the Fe oxides. A 2 foot zone of Fe-stained rock along the hanging wall of the mafic dike is radioactive for 200 yards (sic). A grab sample gave 0.021% U, with the average probably lower.
