Schwarze Wand, Scharnbachgraben, Hollersbachtal, Hohe Tauern, Salzburg, Österreich
Serpentinite disseminated by metarodingite veins. Minerals occur in vugs in the serpentinite, in clefts in the metarodingites, and also in the host rocks (talc schists and chlorite schists). The clefts, reaching a width of several meters, are often filled by coarse-grained amphibolites and epidotite felses. Dark shales exposed in a place just north of this locality carry muscovite pseudomorphs after andalusite to several centimetres across.
Located in the upper Scharnbachgraben.
