Mina Victoria, Arres, Val d'Aran (Valle de Arán), Lleida (Lérida), Catalonia, España
Zn-Pb-Fe-Cu stratiform sedimentary-exhalative deposit in Ordovician schists. The primary mineralization is highly modified after Hercynian regional metamorphism and tectonics, and is in turn cut by some Late-Hercynian granite pegmatite dikes.
The abandoned galleries, buildings and dumps lie in a densely forested mountainous area. A project to habilitate the mine for tourist visits is now being carried out.
