Mina El Castellar, Villarrubia de Santiago, Ocaña, Toledo, Castilla-La Mancha, España
This locality is the type locality for glauberite (see reference), but in the year of the discovery (1808), El Castellar Mine did not exist. Properly the type locality is Villarrubia de Santiago. When Brongniart (1808) published his discovery, he located the mine in Ocaña, the most significant locality in the surroundings, so this one is kept in the locality name, because its historical importance.
