Latitude: 32°34'35"N
Longitude: 110°20'12"W
A former surface and underground Au-Ag mine located on 3 unpatented claims (1965), in sec. 7, T10S, R20E, 1 mile South of the Powers Mine and 6.5 miles E of the Pinal-Graham County line on land of mixed status. Owned and operated by E. Knothe, R.C. Roberts (1934).
Mineralization is a tabular ore body 0.91 meters wide, hosted in rhyolite. The rhyolite is intruded by dikes of andesite porphyry. The deposit occurs within a silicified, brecciated zone, up to about 3 feet (1 meter) wide that strikes SE-ward and dips steeply NE-ward. Richest portion generally less than 1 foot wide and occurs near the hanging wall. An associated rock unit is andesite.
Workings include several open cuts, a 40 foot (12.19 meters) deep shaft with a drift 30 feet N and a stub 20 feet long to the south from the bottom of the shaft. Production years of record: 1923-1928, 1933-1935.
The ore consists of silicified, brecciated rhyolite, cemented & partly replaced by sugary, grayish-white quartz and traversed by irregular veinlets of finely crystalline white quartz.
