Limonite localities approx. 1 mile from the village of Silver Spring. Goethite "bombs" and massive limonite can be collected from the clays along ravine and lake areas. Thrust zone composed of Cambrian Chickies Quartzite, Harpers Phyllite and Antietam Quartzite in complex folding. Ore deposit likely represents iron mineralization along these thrusts, with latter enrichment by low-temperature groundwater solutions.
