A former surface Mica-Be-Nb-Ta mine and pegmatite located in secs. 30 & 31, T.8N., R.2E. (R.3W. ?[Meeves]), in Independence Gulch. Owned by Earl F. Anderson of Mesa, AZ.
Mineralization is a very large, zoned, mica-bearing pegmatite dike, 15 to 50 feet thick and averaging 25 feet thick and is traceable for a distance of at least 1,800 feet along strike. Includes graphic granite.
Workings include an open cut 30 feet long, 15 to 18 feet wide and 20 feet high at the face.
