Abandoned quarry, popular as a swimming hole, in anorthosite and anothositic gabbro of the Mineral Lake pluton in the Keweenawan Mellen intrusive complex. Nw 1/4 Sec 4 T44N R3W. Some of the material is pegmatitic.
