The mine developed a section of what may be a continuation of the vein at Frongoch, about 4kms to the WSW. The mine is known to have been worked in the 18th centry. And from 1850 to 1859 the mine was producing some ore, but it was not untill 1870 that a "rich" ore shoot was found. This was cut off by a slide, and was lost.
