Zebbug, Gozo Island, Malta
"Onyx marble" (actually not a marble but a travertine cave deposit) used in lapidary work in Zebbug church was mined locally (unlike the imported "onyx" used in other Gozo island churches). Glauconite is found in the Ghajn Melel Member of the Miocene Upper Coralline Limestone Formation.Mineral List
