A fluorite mine located on Spar Mountain. Was strip mined by the Hastie's in the mid 1980's. It has since been buried by overburden during their quarrying operations.
This location was the best sites for finding fluorite-replaced fossils in the Illinois - Kentucky fluorspar district. (A. Goldstein, personal observation).
