Candelaria Mine, Callipampa, Poopó Province, Oruro Department, Bolivia

A tin mine about 7km SSE of Poopo town, a few hundred metres south of the better known Trinacria mine. Veins contain lenticular orebodies up to 30cm thick, emplaced in sandy Devonian shales, parallel to the stratification. Ref: Ahlfeld, F. & Schneider-Scherbina, A.
