The Marmaissat claim extends into the Puy-de-Dôme (near Apchat) and Haute-Loire departments (Blesle, Torsiac).
The veins are located in the Auze ravine, 3 km West of Lanau village (Haute-Loire). The Jourde vein is located on its right bank, 250 meters downstream of the main pit and just above the Le Treuil vein (which crops out on the left bank).
