A former underground Ag-Pb-Au-Cu-Mn-Zn-Baryte mine located about 5,500 feet SW of the Iron King Mine, NE slopes of the Bradshaw Mountains. Started about 1870 and closed 1880. Reopened 1966. Owned by Thorne & Simms (1878- ); H.B. Clifford (1906- ); and, R.H. Burmeister (1926).

Mineralization is a vein 15 to 20 feet wide with a tabular oreshoot 3 inches (7.5 cm) to 3 feet (0.9 meters) wide, hosted in the Lower Unit, Spud Mountain Volcanics. The ore is carbonate with chlorides, horn silver (chlorargyrite) & native silver. Ore control was faulting and shearing. Ore concentration was oxidation and enrichment at near surface. No alteration was noted. Amphibolite schist is the country rock, the strike of which is followed by the main vein (N.30ºE.).

Area structures include foliation in Precambrian rocks that trends N25E. Veins parallel the foliation for the most part.

Workings include 3 shafts at 65, 110 & 165 feet deep (1881), later one of which went to 252 feet deep in ore; later 400 or 480 feet (1906). Produced 300,000 oz. Ag plus lead. The presence of stone hammers & grads in old workings indicates mining activity in ancient times.
