"(Coming from Saint-Etienne-de-Tinée). Approximately 20 km north of the latter locality on the D205 [currently the D64]. Before arriving, to the left, there is a road that leads to the Issias river. On the river bank on the right side, there is chalcopyrite, covellite, goethite, limonite, and pyrite. A bit further to the right there is the old Vallon de Navelas mining operation with azurite, brochantite, chalcopyrite, native copper, galena, limonite, magnetite, marcasite, pyrrhotite, quartz, and sphalerite." [Belot, 1978]
