Bois-de-la-Roche quarry, Saint-Aubin-des-Châteaux, Loire-Atlantique, Pays de Loire, France

(Carrière du Bois-de-la-Roche, Saint-Aubin-des-Châteaux, Loire-Atlantique, Pays de Loire, France)

Lulzacite was found in quartz veinlets, a few centimeters thick, that occur at the contact between Ordovician quartzite and limestone in a quarry 8 km west of Châteaubriant.
The quartz veinlets are cutting an Ordovician oolitic ironstone that has been hydrothermally sulphidized during Hercynian orogenesis.
