Lolon Mine (Challacollo Mine), Challacollo, Iquique Province, Tarapacá Region, Chile

Located 30 km east of Oficina Victoria, the nearest large city being Iquique. In early 2004 a new find of caracolite was made here, with crystals up to 5 mm, considerably better than those from the type locality.

Most of the minerals listed here have been studied and identified by Dr. Jochen Schluter, curator of the Hamburg Mineral Museum, Germany.
