Discovered in 1906 by Ontario government geologists, it was explored by two shafts under ownership of the Ontario government. In 1909 the property was sold to private interests and the mine was operated off and on by different owners until it shut down in 1968. Total production was approx. 290,000 oz. Ag; 54,000 lbs. Co; and 3,000 lbs. Ni.
