Vergenoeg mine, Kromdraai 209 JR farm, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa

One of the largest fluorite mines, which also produced iron ore (Fe-F-REE mineralisation). 40+ minerals (most iron). Extreme differentiation of granitic magma.
A vertical, discordant, funnel-shaped volcanic pipe, emplaced within the surrounding Rooiberg Group rhyolites of the Bushveld complex. Located 8 km SW of Rust de Winter, 65 km NE of Pretoria. Closely related prospects occur on the neighbouring farms Naauwpoort 208 JR, and Rhenosterfontein 210 JR.
