A manganese deposit with no commecial value located in an arroyo.
A manganiferous gray sandstone about 8 feet thick is overlain and underlain by red sandstones. The beds dip slightly to the west. The sandstone contains about 3 or 4% of Mn, which has partly replaced its cementing substance, and in places there are small seams of manganite and pyrolusite.
