A group of manganese claims located in the western part of sec. 12, T.11N., R.13W. wned by John Carr.
The deposit is contained in a shear zone in red sandstones. The sandstones are brecciated through a length of 600 feet in a northerly direction, along the strike, and a width of about 50 feet, forming a network of seams in which manganese and iron oxides have been deposited. These seams rarely are more than 2 inches wide, and they are sparse.
