Vlastějovice (Hammerstadt), Zruč nad Sázavou (Srutsch an der Sasau), Central Bohemia Region, Bohemia (Böhmen; Boehmen), Czech Republic

Locality is well known for varied minerals (more than 50 mineral species) of 3 different paragenesis (skarn, pegmatite, hydrothermal). Surrounding of Vlast?jovice is formed by moldanubic rocks of so-called lede?-chýnov belt of variegated series (mostly paragneisses). Iron deposit Vlast?jovice is developed as 2 large and 3 minor skarn ore-bodies connected with large orthogneiss syncline in paragneisses. Typical for those skarns are contamined pegmatites (fluorite, allanite), often with reaction rims, which differs from pegmatites from gneisses. Hydrothermal veins with Sb-ores was described in 1953 and 1997.
Iron deposit was opened by underground works, which are now abandoned. The surface part is still mined by open quarry for crushed aggregate.

Entering the quarry is prohibited (situation in 2007).
