Knappenwand area, Untersulzbach valley, Hohe Tauern Mts, Salzburg, Austria

Both at the world-famous Knappenwand itself, as well as in its vicinity, copper mineralizations are present in the amphibolites of the Knappenwandmulde series. Relicts of ancient copper mines are located at different places in this area.
