Val di Preda Rossa, Val Masino, Sondrio, Lombardia, Italia
Preda Rossa Valley is a mineral rich area hosting at least four main worthwhile paragenesis:
- Garnet (& Beryl) bearing pegmatites, intruded both in the Masino-Bregaglia intrusives and in the surrounding rocks (e.g Serpentinites)
- Spinel - and "Humite group" bearing marbles.
- Zeolite-bearing rodingites (with a mineral paragenesis modified by contact metamorphism).
- (Bi) - Mo ore bearing quartz veins in the "Serizzo" diorite
