Historical euclase occurrence, known for one famous find dating back to the early 20th century. At that time, the glacier was known as Roßhuf glacier, but this name does only exist on contemporary maps. Today, the glacier which did largely melt during the 1970s, is known as Althaus glacier.
Located on the southeast slope of Hoher Roßhuf mountain (on the border to Italy), in the upper Umbal valley.
