A lead-zinc mine that produced 200,000 tons of ore to 1986.
Located a few km SW of Broken Hill (accessible via Pinnacles Road).
IMPORTANT NOTE: In the 1990s the mine site had several large dumps where collecting was allowed. These dumps all contained material from the Kintore and Block 14 Opencuts! (Compare map in
http://www.mindat.org/photo-295425.html .) A very large variety of secondary species could be found in the available material.
Since some time (ca. 2003) collecting is not possible anymore since the mine will be reopened(?).
