An abandoned gypsum mine, located on Hühnerkogel hill (447 m a.s.l.), about 500 m north of Preinsfeld.
Gypsum in Werfen schists was mined by both open-pit and underground workings.
The deposit was known since at least the 18th century. It was exploited intermittently until 2001. The mine is being filled up, the operation having started in November 2008.
