North Mountain Serpentine locality ("Dunite Locality" of Emerson), Cheshire, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts, USA
Ultramafic tectonic "sliver" thrust fault deposit, age unknown - possibly Ordovican, possibly Proterozoic-Z. (Note: Most of the minerals listed are found as minor constituents of the deposit or in the abutting country rock. The bulk of the deposit is antigorite. Some of the species listed in Emerson proved to be in error and are not repeated here.)Mineral List
