Located near Astfeld, 3.5 km WNW of Goslar, directly north of the Grane Dam ('Granestausee').
NOTE: The "namuwite" from here, widespread in collections, is in fact Unnamed (Gordaite-related Ca-Zn Sulphate Chloride Hydrate).
