Structure: Lone Mtn. Is A Window In The Roberts Mtn Thrust Intersecting Nw-Striking And Ne-Striking Faults. Dolomite Is Highly Brecciated & Cut By Calcite Veins.
Commodity: Sphalerite, galena, chalcopyrite, & pyrite As trace occurrences.
Deposit: The mine was owned by mr & mrs. C. Vaccaro of eureka, nev in 1964. The workings consist of a shaft and drifts., with three orebodies that were mined. The first claims were located in 1920 ; info.src : 1 pub lit fault intersections and replacement of favorable host rocks. 3 orebodies
Deposit type: Polymetallic replacement
Geology: The orebodies range from small pods to masses containing several thousand tons. The ore strikes n W and dips ne. The host dolomite has been highly brecciated & cut by calcite veins. Ore was located at the intersections of two sets of faults (roberts). Lone mtn. Appears to be a windo W in the roberts mtn thrust.
Rock formation(s): Devil'S Gate Limestone And Dolomite
Ore(s): Fractured Permeable Zones At Fault Intersections
