Jewel Hill, Castle Dome area (Castle Dome Mine area; Pinto Valley Mine area), Inspiration, Miami-Inspiration District, Globe-Miami District, Gila Co., Arizona, USA
Deposits located on the south flank of Jewel Hill, east of the Castle Dome (Pinto Valley) Mine.
Mineralization is pyrometasomatic deposits in Martin Limestone on Jewel Hill. The Martin limestone along a fault contact with Dripping Spring quartzite is replaced by garnet, magnetite, and hematite. Small amlunts of oxidized copper minerals are exposed in a few shallow pits along the fault.
