During the 19th century a number of brick manufacturers started in and around Lomma. The local lime rich clay was burnt and give a typical yellow color to the brick.
The Museum of Natural History in Stockholm have one sample of coal from "Lomma Tegelbruk" (Lomma Brick Manufacture).
