The term Kandivli or Kandivali, refers to a quarry administered by the suburb of Damupada; hence the locality is often called Kandivli-Damupada. The most noteworthy specimens occurring here are the pseudomorphs of prehnite after laumonite. The quarry is also a source of yellowish primsatic calcite crystals, prehnite with apophyllite, laumonite, and gyrolite, more rarely babingtonite and Ilvaite.
