(Grube Breitenau, Hochlantsch, St. Jakob-Breitenau, Fischbacher Alpen, Steiermark, Österreich)
Magnesite deposit in silurian slates near the contact to paleozoic rocks. The deposit, which is known since around 1850, is still worked and, with an annual production of 470,000 tons, the most productive in Austria. In the past, the deposit was also worked for iron ores, mostly limonite.

Located on the north slope of Hochlantsch mountain near St. Jakob-Breitenau, in the southwestern Fischbacher Alpen mountains.
