Vein deposit in metamorphic rocks. Locality on US Route #2 excavated about 1960 during road widening construction. The peculiar nature of the tan curved crystals led them to be nicknamed "Wheaties" after a wheat flake breakfast cereal brand name. For a short time, the ankerite was mis-identified as crandallite for no good reason.
