A former surface and underground Cu mine located in the SE¼ sec. 32, T8S, R12E (Tortolita Mts 15 minute topo map), just N of Coronado Wash, about 2 miles WSW of state highway 79, in the N end of the Suizo Mountains, on BLM-administered land. The two claims in the area are the Honeypot No. 1 & No. 2.
Mineralization is a vein deposit related to a fault zone striking N15W with a 70W dip. Vein filling is a basic dike and quartz with copper coated quartz crystals. Alteration is chloritization of dike rock in the vein. The zone is intruded by a basic dike.
Workings include a l25 foot deep shaft, two 100 foot long tunnels, pits and trenches of various sizes. I.P. survey by ANAMAX in 197O.
